Talbot Stark has over twenty-five years of experience in the international financial markets and is currently the Global Head of Institutional Sales for BNP Paribas Global Markets, based in London. Talbot is responsible for establishing Global Markets’ commercial strategy and driving the global sales effort across Hedge Funds, Asset Managers, Pensions, Banks and Insurance companies, further developing this key part of BNP Paribas’s institutional client franchise across global business lines and regions. Reporting to Mr. Stark on a functional basis are the respective EMEA, APAC and Americas Regional Institutional Sales Managers.
Prior to his current position, he was the Global Head of Relationship Management with over 25 professionals reporting to him in across Hedge Fund Relationship Management and Institutional Relationship Management. The group was responsible for managing and developing the firm’s global Hedge Fund and Institutional client base across Fixed Income, Equities, Commodities and Derivatives. Earlier in his career, Mr. Stark was the European Head of Flow Sales for Equity Derivatives at BNP Paribas in London and held previous positions at the bank in Fixed Income. He has been with BNP Paribas since 1998.
Prior to BNP Paribas, he worked at Lehman Brothers in Equity Derivative sales and at JP Morgan in various Corporate Finance roles. Talbot is a CFA charter holder and has an MBA from Cambridge University, the Judge Institute of Management Studies, and a B.S. in Industrial Engineering from the University of Wisconsin-Madison.
Before his career in finance, Talbot served as helicopter pilot in the United States Army.
