Yasunobu Amamori is a general manager of the Alternative and Fund Investment Department at Nissay Asset Management Corporation, a subsidiary of Nippon Life Insurance Company (“Nippon Life”) in Japan. Currently, he is responsible for managing a portfolio of external hedge funds for Nippon Life, and marketing FoHF products to Japanese pension funds and financial institutions. He joined Nippon Life in 1998, where his various financial investment experiences include investing in private equity funds, structured credit products and JPY loans. He set up the hedge fund investment team at Nippon Life Global Investors Americas in 2001. Prior to joining Nippon Life, he worked for Yamaichi Securities International (Europe) in London as a head of the Financial Engineering Group. He earned his MBA from The Wharton School at the University of Pennsylvania in 1993 and a Bachelor of Science in electrical engineering from Keio University in Tokyo in 1987. He is a CFA charterholder since 2001.
